Graphic designer and musician, has been a music lover since childhood. His close relationship with nature is portrayed in his multi-layered compositions, where everything seems to flow, hiss and tickle; evolving to wide soundscapes and subtle melodies. Experimental passages and minimalism attract his attention, leading to tracks which can tell influences from dub and deep sounds. All these features added to an unusual approach to music making, delicate percussions and sample processing are becoming his trademarks.

After having a hand in the Trimsound remix for Telegraph records earlier in the year Joe has since had tracks and remixes on Trimsound’s record and net labels, Altrecordings, Mindtours netlabel as well as an e.p on Floppy Funk which was licensed to ‘Addicted to House vol.6’. Watch out for more releases in the new year including a split 12” with Tom on Mindtours and a new net/record label project- Paper Scissor Stone in partnership with Nick Dawson kicking off in spring 08 |

Le K reps the holy trinity of today’s club landscape: instrumentalist/producer/DJ. Learning to play the guitar seemed to be a good way to fight the atrocities of puberty and listening to the recordings of zany Zappa, arsonist Hendrix, and the LSD-inspired cadence of Pink Floyd and George Clinton helped a bit, too. His first major electroshock came when he acquired a MS20 synthesizer by Korg and began to write short Electrotechnofolk (a genre of his own) with a friend under the intimidating name of Caribousex. Finally, the dawn of 2004 brought a home studio and a commitment to weird, tormented, bleepy twisted House and Techno productions on FORCE INC, Circus Company, SNork Enterprise and Mineral Musica.

Hauke has an old-school production approach, working with contemporary software but using a palette of mainly vinyl samples to give a loose, effortless, raw-sounding edge. MY BEAT is a dirty, gritty, House work-out featuring deep, filtered chords, lo-fi percussion and roughly chopped vocal pieces. Old-fashioned in a good way - just the way we like it! WE MUST FACE OUR FEARS is a smoother, minimal track with a delicate, beautifully measured mesh of percussive knocks, slides & bleeps driven by a pulsing sine wave bass. As the track builds, a classic Detroit-flavoured chord wash brings it all together. Bliss… BIOGRAPHY Hauke Freer grew up in a small town near Hamburg and moved to Berlin in 2000 to work for the Techno label Kanzleramt. After spending a year in Australia DJing and working for the label Future Classic, Hauke returned to Berlin to work for the Resopal Schallware label.
